Falling in line with the Supreme Court directive, Karnataka on Sunday began releasing Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, setting off a wave of protests against it in the river basin districts.

Farmers break barricades in a bid to collect seeds from an outlet of Bt cotton seeds company in Haveri district on Tuesday.
