HC Irked Over Failure To Adopt Safety Measures

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday issued contempt notices to the vice chairman of Delhi Development Authority (DDA), CEO of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and MD of Delhi Small Industries Development Corporation (DSIDC) for failing to adopt safety and health measures for sewerage workers.

NEW DELHI: Attempting to quell public alarm over a reported two-week shutdown of water supply to the Capital by the Uttarakhand Government, the Delhi Jal Board on Tuesday clarified that the water utility is yet to receive word about the shutdown.

Uttarakhand May Shut Supply For Canal Cleaning From April 15

Residents of south and east Delhi may soon have to face water shortage with the Uttarakhand government planning to shut down supply to Delhi for two weeks.
