NEW DELHI: Boring a 1.775-km long tunnel in a single stretch, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation completed construction work on its longest ever underground tunnel built by a single tunnel boring machine (TBM) at Khan Market here on Wednesday.

The DMRC claims the tunnel is the longest ever to be constructed by a single TBM in Delhi so far.

Construction of the longest tunnel in the city, through which high-speed Delhi Metro trains will zip in a couple of months, was completed in the heart of the capital on Wednesday.
