The second instalment to the tune of Rs 50 lakh has been released to parched Indore. On April 8 last, the first instalment of Rs 50 lakh was released. In this way, Rs 1 crore has been made available to Indore collector for ensuring drinking water arrangements in the district during the summer.
Disposal facilities are not the final solution, but are good business as long as subsidized India generates 8.14 million tonnes of hazardous industrial waste in a year, according to cpcb. Urban areas of Indore, Dhar, Chhindwara, Alirajpur, Khargone, Sehore, Rajgarh and Dewas districts are facing drinking water problem, would be supplied drinking water through transportation. The state government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 1.54 crore for this purpose. The amount would be allotted to the concerning collectors in two instalments.
