The borewells are deeper, enabling polluted water to mix with the groundwater.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Mahesh Chandra Saxena Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Others dated 02/11/2020.

This application seeks injunction against construction of drains in place of sewer lines at Chhatarpur Enclave, New Delhi. It is stated that there are 1700 unauthorised colonies in Delhi wherein the drains, septic tanks and soak pits are constructed. This is a source of pollution of ground water.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of RWA Society Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 26/08/2020.

The issue for consideration is the remedial action against the bad odour from the STP, Kondli in Delhi, as the STP is not operated as per norms. The NGT in its order of September 27, 2019 had directed the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to take appropriate action in the light of the report of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pramod Kumar Jha Vs Govt. of NCT of Delhi dated 07/08/2020. A report was sought from the Delhi Jal Board and Delhi Pollution Control Committee with reference to the allegation of illegal extraction of ground water in village Jagatpur, Civil Lines Delhi near Yamuna biodiversity park for sale through tankers and further grievance was that charcoal drums were being burnt in open causing air pollution.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of R. P. Singhal Vs Govt. of Delhi NCT & Others dated 07/08/2020. Grievance in this application was that Sanjay Lake and Sanjay Lake Park near Mayur Vihar, Delhi were being polluted for which the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) had to take necessary steps. Concretization around the trees was taking place in violation of orders of the court.
