LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh state government is once again making fresh noises about the state's ambitious highway projects. On Monday, PWD Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui instructed officials of the Uttar Pradesh State Highway Authority to finish pending highway projects in the state as soon as possible, adding that at least six such projects must be completed within the current fiscal.

In order to decongest the Pinjore-Kalka highway, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) will build a 7.3 kilometre long Pinjore bypass connecting Surajpur (a few kilometres before Pinjore) to Baddi.

This will be the second bypass on this stretch
