Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has given instructions for utilisation of Narmada water by 2020 allocated to the State.

The state government has decided to develop tourism in Indira Sagar Dam, the biggest man-made lake in the country. As per directive of the state government, preparations have been completed for development of the islets in the dam. The land of the Islets has been transferred to the tourism department and the development works would start soon.
