The report consists of compliance status of all industries generating trade effluent and requiring ETPs as reported by SPCBs/PCCs. Also river basin wise status of industrial units generating trade effluent and river basin wise status of common effluent treatment plants (CETPs).

Final report of the Joint Committee of CPCB, Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) and CSIR-NEERI in compliance of National Green Tribunal order of November 26, 2019 in the matter of OA No. 738 of 2018 in the matter of Satpal Singh, Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Singhpura Sithana, Panipat Vs Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Panipat Refinery. The report was dated April 23, 2020.

Action taken report of Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) in compliance of National Green Tribunal order dated October 31, 2019 on M/s. Kisan Agro Feed, Kothapally, Yacharam, Rangareddy District. The TSPCB had received a complaint on pollution caused by the industry and that the unit was producing oil illegally by using animal dead bodies and its meat as main raw material and mixing the same in edible oils.

The greenhouse gases (GHG) emission inventory for the country is prepared according to the requirements under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has carried out inspection for verification of compliance to the stipulated norms of 700 industries falling under the 17- category of highly polluting industries during the period 01.04.2016 to 04.03.2020. CPCB has reported that out of the 700 industries inspected, 342 industries were found non-complying. Under provisions of Section 5 of Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, show-cause notices/ technical directions to 159 units and closure directions to 181 units were issued for non-compliance.

Additional action taken report on behalf of GNCTD and DPCC in compliance of the National Green Tribunal order dated December 20, 2019. The National Green Tribunal had directed the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to furnish a factual and action taken report in respect of the pollution being caused due to wood dust, plastic bags and tyres/tubes being used as a fuel at Sainik Enclave, Vikas Nagar, Uttar Nagar, New Delhi.
