With the level receding at the Bisalpur dam that provides water to the city, supply is likely to be cut off from this prime source by midnight on Friday, affecting 40 lakh residents.

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government's Water Resources Department on Monday formulated an emergency plan worth Rs.40 crore for supplying drinking water to Jaipur and Ajmer districts till the next month-end. The department decided to make optimum utilisation of the available sources to maintain normal levels of water supply.
