Petitioners are National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accredited diagnostic laboratories and research centres conducting various kinds of Covid 19 tests including RT-PCR tests. They are aggrieved by Ext.P6 order by which the Kerala Government reduced the charges for the tests for diagnosis of Covid. The charges for RTPCR (open test) was reduced from Rs.2100/-to Rs.1,500/-.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Goa Foundation Vs Union of India dated 28/09/2020.

The issue for consideration is the remedial steps for protection of ecology of Western Ghats, which is an eco-sensitive area. The NGT observed that there was demand for more and more exclusion by those who claim the need for ‘development’ while need for ‘environment protection’ does not allow acceptance of such demands.
