The matter related to alleged encroachment of Yamuna flood plain by Yamuna Mission, Mathura. It is alleged that in the garb of preserving and cleaning the river Yamuna and undertaking plantation drive, the Yamuna flood plain is being encroached.

Grievance in the application is against alleged encroachment of Yamuna floodplain by Yamuna Mission, Mathura. It is stated that though ostensibly acting to preserve and clean river Yamuna and undertaking plantation drive, in the garb of such activities, Yamuna floodplain is being encroached. The applicant has filed photographs showing construction on the ghats and copies of complaints made to the authorities.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushil Raghav Vs Union of India & Others dated 21/07/2020. The issue for consideration is the pollution of Radha Kund and Shyam Kund in Village Arita in Mathura District, Uttar Pradesh, by discharge of sewage and domestic waste. The tribunal had sought a response from Mathura Vrindavan Development Authority (MVDA). The MVDA in its response said that the same issue was dealt by the NGT in another case and was listed for hearing on August 11, 2020.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha Vs Union of India & Others dated 20/12/2019 regarding illegal construction of a road on the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan, Mathura between Shringarvat and Keshi Ghat and other illegal constructions including multistoried buildings which have come up on the active floodplains and riverbed of the Yamuna in the town of Vrindavan.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Madhav Das Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 17/12/2019 regarding operation of a cotton mill in district Mathura, as in its process of separation of seeds from the cotton plants, air pollution is caused for which necessary safeguards are not taken. Further, the operation of the mill is in agricultural area, where such activities are not permitted.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nagar Palika Parishad, Vrindavan & Others Vs Madhumangal Shukla & Others dated 09/08/2019 regarding enforcement of Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 by Nagar Nigam, Vrindavan to deal with the problem of unregulated dumping of municipal solid waste on the flood plain area of the River Yamuna. Also clearing the legacy waste which was becoming an environmental hazard.
