PANJIM: Setting up of golf course, convention center, theme parks and encouraging wedding tourism were the major demands placed by the legislators in the State Legislative Assembly today, in promoting Goa as a major tourist hub in the world, apart from being highlighted as a beach tourism destination.

JAIPUR: The Supreme Court on Friday allowed preservation and restoration work of Jaipur's Man Sagar Lake by the private firm to which the 17th century monument Jal Mahal has been leased out.

In the last hearing of the matter on May 25, the court had allowed the firm to carry out preservation and restoration work of just the Jal Mahal that stands in the lake.
