Judgement of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Shree Mahuva Bandhara Khetiwadi Vs M/s. Nirma Limited & Others dated 18/05/2015 regarding environmental clearance dated 8th December, 2008 to M/s Nirma Ltd for the cement plant and the captive power plant to be established and operated near village Padhiyarka Taluka Mahuva, District Bhavnagar, Gujarat.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nirma Ltd. Vs Ministry of Environment & Forests dated 17/11/2014 regarding Nirma's cement plant site in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The Tribunal in its judgement has taken a strong view to the application and stated that the the present application filed by Nirma is not only "without substance and merit but frivolous and an abuse of the process of law. Thus, we dismiss the application with costs of Rs. 25,000/-, payable to the Environmental Relief Fund constituted under The Public Liability Insurance Act, 1991."

The proposed cement plant by Nirma Ltd on the coastline near Mahuva is no danger to the water body and local environment.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nirma Limited Vs. MoEF & Others dated 23/08/2013 regarding whether the lands in questions are wet land, water bodies, bund, Bandharas etc. and as to whether they are having adverse effects due to the proposed Project of the Project Proponent - Nirma Limited. Also the Learned Expert Members who had visited the site earlier, would also visit the site in monsoon season so as to assess the complete and comprehensive situation with regard to wet land and likely damage to the water body.
