critical /severe from environmental pollution angle.

This is the proposed action plan for industrial cluster at Aurangabad.

CPCB has evolved a Comprehensive Environmental Pollution Index (CEPI) for 88 study areas with an objective of identifying polluted clusters or areas in order to take concerted action and to centrally monitor them at the national level to improve the current status of their environmental components such as air and water quality, ecological damage and visual environmental conditions.

Application for Consent to Operate for discharge of effluent, under Section 25 and section 26 of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and emission/ continuation of emission under Section 21 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981

Need of action plan is justified to control pollution in any area where pollution sources are identified, pollutants are measured, assessed and found exceeding permissible limits. To implement such action plans is a duty of any SPCB and all concerned agencies/stakeholders.
