The Karbi Anglong hills district administration keeping an eye on the upcoming Durga Puja here has geared up for celebrating an eco–friendly Durga Puja this year with the Pollution Control Board of Assam (PCBA) laying out the green and smooth guidelines.

A meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the Kheroni police station today at 12–10 pm here with presidents and secretaries of puja committees of the Kheroni and its adjoin areas, where the Officer In–charge, Badan Chandra Das said the administration will strictly enforce the Board’s guidelines and asked the committees to promote idols made of natural materials.

The Pollution Control Board Assam (PCBA) has issued guidelines for celebration of Durga Puja in an eco-friendly manner.
