Around 39% (4053 TPD) of waste generated is segregated at source and transported in Telangana and this is the status for the quarter January 2021 to March 2021. In all the 142 urban local bodies (ULBs), transportation of segregation of waste is implemented. Further, 52 ULBs have commenced biomining.

As directed by the National Green Tribunal, a joint team of officials from the District Revenue Department, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), Bhilwara and Department of Mining & Geology, Bhilwara, jointly visited the Phakoliya granite cluster area on November 10, 2020.

Order of the Madras High Court regarding water pollution at Amaravati river, Tamil Nadu.

The petition filed in public interest suggests that the wanton permission accorded by the Tamil Nadu government to industries near the banks of Amaravati has resulted in industrial effluents being discharged into the flowing water rendering the same not only unfit for human consumption, but exposing nearby groundwater to also turn toxic.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of 'In re remediation of polluted rivers' dated 19/04/2021.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushil Raghav Vs Union of India & Others dated 19/03/2021. The application sought directions to take remedial action to prevent untreated sewage/effluent being discharged in the storm water drains in Karkarmodel, situated in Municipal Corporation Ward No. 43. at Sahibabad in Ghaziabad.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Agnes Kharshing Vs State of Meghalaya dated 17/03/2021. Grievance in the application was against the illegal mining of coal by cement companies at East Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya. Case set out in the application was that the cement plants in question were undertaking mining causing pollution to Lukha and Lunar rivers resulting in death of fishes.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Stench Grips Mansa's Sacred Ghaggar River dated 16/03/2021. The issue for consideration was the remedial action for abatement of pollution of river Ghaggar.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Harish Solanki Vs Central Pollution Control Board & Others dated 09/03/2021.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Damodar Valley Corporation Vs Jharkhand Pollution Control Board dated 03/03/2021. Damodar Valley Corporation (appellant) has filed an appeal in the NGT against the Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board order May 7, 2020 to submit the balance amount of environmental compensation of INR 48,08,000.00/- for the discharge of furnace oil by the unit into Damodar river October 15, 2019. An interim compensation of Rs. 1 crore was paid by the Damodar Valley Corporation.
