Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Saviour Park Apartment Owners Association Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 04/02/2022.

Grievance in the application is against violation of environmental norms in setting up of a construction project – Saviour Park, Plot No. 108, Katori Mill, Loni Road, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, by Savfab Buildtech Pvt. Ltd., without valid Environmental Clearance (EC) and without requisite safeguards. It is further stated that EC conditions and environmental norms are being violated.

Issue for consideration is remedial action against discharge of untreated sewage and industrial effluents on the agriculture lands at village Nokha, District Bikaner, Rajasthan. The matter has been considered by the Tribunal in the last more than two years by several orders and the court had found failure of the state authorities in ensuring compliance of Supreme Court order (Paryavaran Suraksha case) resulting in continuing water pollution.

Factual and action taken report in compliance of the National Green Tribunal order, October 29, 2021 in Original Application 80/2021 (Satyendra Kumar Singh Vs State of Rajasthan & Others).

Representatives of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) and M/s Ansu Engineering visited the Activated Sludge Process based 30 MLD STP plant of Jaipur Development Authority established at village Gajadharpura, Kalwar, Jaipur and collected the samples from inlet, outlet, final discharge point and water flowing in river Bandi (the final discharge point of treated sewage).

Grievance in the application is against construction activities in flood plain zone of river Ganga. Municipal Corporation, Rishikesh is constructing toilets in the said area illegally and discharging untreated waste therefrom in river Ganga. No STP has been constructed to treat the waste.
