The renewable energy sector in Orissa is likely to get further boost with a large number of private entrepreneurs evincing interest to set up solar power units in the state.

The Orissa government has approved nine more solar power projects with an aggregate generation capacity of 57 Mw.

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission has proposed to start solar renewable purchase obligation (RPO) from the current year.
