After the Delhi government, the Centre has now approached the Supreme Court seeking relief from the crackdown it ordered on diesels cabs in Delhi and neighbouring areas. The ban will impact the BPO industry which uses diesel-run taxis to ferry employees and earns the country billions of dollars every year, the government said.

Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai yesterday claimed that the incidents of fire in a forested area behind Raj Ghat and at municipal landfill sites was a "conspiracy to sabotage" the ongoing second phase of the odd-even scheme in Delhi in a "planned way". Many Delhi residents say that traffic congestion is as bad as it was and with the Transport Minister now alleging a conspiracy, things are not working as the AAP government wanted it to be. So, what does all of this add up to? Is it a thumbs down verdict for odd-even 2.0? or is that a hasty conclusion.

Delhi had to face the brunt of odd-even phase-2 today. Has the policy been a hit or a damp squib? Is the advertisement blitzkrieg to promote odd-even policy a publicity stunt by the Arvind Kejriwal government? Has BJP leader Vijay Goel challenged the Kejriwal government by breaking the rule? Is the plan to implement the odd-even policy every month a hasty decision?

Odd Even scheme will return for second 15 day spell and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is considering making it a permanent feature for 15 days every single month. Is that wise or does it ignore the conceptual weakness of the scheme? Chief Minister has admitted that in January the impact on pollution was less than expected, Is it justified to bring the scheme back as an attempt to reduce conjunction instead?
