SHILLONG/NONGSTOIN: With just a day left for expiry of its 15-day deadline to the Congress-led MUA Government over UCIL's development programmes, KSU has geared up for a public rally at Iew Umdohlun, West Khasi Hills on Monday to protest against the authorities' reported attempt at facilitating uranium mining in the State.

Adopting a tough posture, Meghalaya Chief Minister DD Lapang on Saturday said the State Government would be firm in maintaining law and order if any organisation tried to take law in their hands over the controversial uranium mining issue.
