The matter related to the application to remove factories from residential area at Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. It is stated that Sunil Kumar, Homeshwar and Mukesh Kumar are operating the factories in residential area resulting in nuisance, including noise and other pollution.

The matter related to grant of mining leases without preparation of District Survey Report (DSR) as per the Sustainable Sand Management Guidelines (SSMG), 2016 and the Enforcement & Monitoring Guidelines for Sand Mining (EMGSM), 2020 in the district Banda, Uttar Pradesh. It is stated that an advertisement dated February 8, 2021 was issued for grant of mining leases without replenishment and carrying capacity studies.

The application sought directions to take remedial action to prevent untreated sewage/effluent being discharged in the storm water drains in Karkarmodel, situated in Municipal Corporation Ward No. 43. at Sahibabad in Ghaziabad.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Pawan Kumar Tiwari Vs Union of India & Others dated 19/03/2021. Grievance in this application is that Panki thermal power plant was set up at Kanpur in the year 1977 and approval for expansion was granted in the year 2017 (construction of a new unit (1x660 MW coal based supercritical thermal power plant) and revamping of ash dykes. The plant is causing air and water pollution resulting in damage to public health and the environment. Remedial measures needed to be taken as Kanpur city is already suffering from air pollution.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sushil Raghav Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 17/03/2021. Grievance in the application was that water bodies were being diverted in Ghaziabad district for industrial purposes in violation of law. There have been alarming levels of encroachments and damage of waterbodies at Ghaziabad and "it was not difficult to assume that there are similar encroachments/damage to water bodies throughout", the NGT said.

A report was sought from District Magistrate, Ghaziabad and Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) with reference to the allegation of unscientific recycling of hazardous chemicals by Sameer Enterprises at Khasra No. 39, Gali No. 3, Hindon Vihar, near Shyam Dharmkata, Meerut road, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shivansh Pandey Vs State of Uttar Pradesh dated 16/03/2021.

The issue was remedial action against pollution at and around Railway Godown, Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh in the course of loading and unloading of cement, fertilizers and grains by trucks, polluting the air quality and causing respiratory problems.
