Food security atlas of rural Rajasthan

Rajasthan is under the grip of severe food insecurity with 22 of its 32 districts being labeled as ‘most food insecure’ in this study released by Institute for Human Development & World Food Programme.

The main objectives of this report are to analyze the nature and dynamics of the food security situation at the sub-state level and suggest location- specific strategies. It is hoped that this Atlas will stimulate stragetic action and further desired analysis. Food security must be brought to the forefront of the development and political agenda not only at the Centre, but in a vibrant federal structure like India, in the states as well.
