Strategic analysis of the global status of carbon capture and storage

The Global CCS Institute was established as a key organisation charged with the responsibility of accelerating the deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology. In so doing it would work with other leading organisations to achieve the Group of Eight (G8) objective of launching 20 large-scale CCS demonstration projects by 2010, taking into account varying
national circumstances, with a view to beginning broad deployment of CCS by 2020.
