NASHIK: The Satpur and Ambad industrial estates of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) are set to go green soon.

NASHIK: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) is planning use private tankers to supply water to various places and routes in case of an emergency during Kumbh Mela.

As many as 1,556 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have got permission to set up units that are expected to provide employment to 27,487 people in Nashik district.

NASHIK: Plans are afoot to make Nashik the first solar city in Maharashtra by making solar panels mandatory in buildings with over 10 flats.

NASHIK: The first training centre for organic farming will soon be set up near Dhule in Nashik division by the agriculture department of the state government.

The state government has decided to set up the training centre at a farm at Vadane in Dhule district in the division. A grant of Rs 5 lakh has already been approved for the purpose.

The state government has increased the organic farming area in Nashik division from 800 hectares to 1,200 hectares to promote the form of agriculture and discourage use of chemical fertilizers.
