The NGT, December 10, 2024 directed Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to place the guideline regarding utilization of ash-based products from Waste to Energy Plants in Delhi before the court in a week's time. DPCC on December 9, 2024 had issued directions under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 for use of ash based products. The matter would be next heard on April 4, 2025.

Response on behalf of the DPCC with respect to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order dated August 30, 2024.

The matters related to increased urban flooding in Delhi and its connection to the disappearance of water bodies in the capital. In compliance with decisions taken by the Integrated Drain Management Cell (IDMC) in its 17th meeting held on April 18, 2024, DPCC, May 20, 2024 received two lists of 1045 and 322 water bodies along with geo-coordinates from Wetland Authority of Delhi. These lists were forwarded to concerned District Magistrates for ground truthing.

The matter related to restoration of 6 ponds in Delhi which have been occupied unauthorizedly or otherwise filled in by raising constructions.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to pay Rs 20 lakhs to the Akhil Bhartiya Netrahin Sangh School within one month. The school management would utilize the compensation amount in creating better environmental atmosphere in the school and in extending the proper health and other facilities to the students who are the victims of the pollution and environmental hazards.
