Land for NPCIL colony is blackbuck habitat: Report

In a setback to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) to expedite the setting up of its 4x700MW nuclear power project at Gorakhpur in Fatehabad, the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, has recommended that the 187 acres acquired for developing its residential colony at Badopal should be notifed as “Conservation Reserve” for blackbucks and the NPCIL should look for an alternative site for its colony.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has sanctioned a loan of Rs 238.65 crore for 21 road and 14 drinking water projects in Haryana.
