The matter related to the state of patients who are overstaying in the mental health institutions in some cases for decades.

The Bombay High Court said that the primary focus should be on those patients who have been declared fit by the establishments - government and private and fit to be discharged and still they are confined to be establishments because their family members have not accepted them back at home.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Banda Nagraj Kumar & Others Vs Maharashtra Maritime Board & Others dated 03/07/2023.

The matter related to dumping of construction debris on the beaches and CRZ area of Aksa beach, Mumbai. The attention of the court was also drawn to the fact that pakka (permanent) constructions are being made in the middle of the beach, which is illegal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Vanashakti & Others dated 03/07/2023.

The matter related to dumping of debris at the bank of Mithi river near Tapeshwar Mandir, Aarey forest, which is prohibited as per the Management of Construction and Demolition Waste Rules, 2016. As proof, photographs have been given. The court was apprised of the fact that the authorities were informed about the illegal dumping of debris being done at the bank of Mithi river but no action has been taken.

Report by the Director, Industrial Safety and Health to the National Green Tribunal on M/s Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited located in Kalwa Industrial Estate, Navi Mumbai,Thane district said that was not registered under Factories Act till date.

During a visit to the factory it was observed that the occupier of the factory was using the premises as a factory without obtaining a valid license from the Director, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Maharashtra.

Before the Swachha Sarvekshyan Abhiyan-2018 monitoring committee visit - in December 31, 2017, the then chief officer Municipal Council, Faizpur, Jalgaon district "shifted all MSW to main steam of Dhadi river in deep scour depth of flood flow and covered up with the soil borrowed from other location".

The dumped MSW in river bed was covered by barrowing soil. During this three and half rainy season floods the most of the municipal solid waste has been drained down. MSW buried part below scour depth still exists and is polluting the groundwater.

Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Bombay Environmental Action Group Vs Prism Johnson Ltd & Others dated 24/04/2023.

Bombay Environmental Action Group, the petitioner has challenged the judgment of the Bombay High Court, whereby Prism Johnson Ltd was permitted to cut 12575 mangrove spanning approximately 5.03 hectares in the ecologically sensitive area covered within Coastal Regulation Zone in the Raigad district.
