The matter related to permission for e-rickshaws to ply in the city of Matheran and laying down of concrete paver blocks on the roads in Matheran.

The SC directed a Monitoring Committee to decide on whether to permit e-rickshaws and the laying down of paver blocks in the city of Matheran, an eco sensitive zone.

The SC said that laying down of paver blocks would destroy the natural beauty of the city.

Kolhapur irrigation Division has completed the work of demarcation of blue and red line in portion of Kolhapur city area as well as from Prayag Chikali to Rukdi of Panchganga river for the total length of 31.34 kms.

The statue has been carved out of the Mangi-Tungi hills, Tahrabad, Nashik, Maharashtra. The extent of the area affected as per affidavit submitted by the District Level Committee is 7.310 hectares.
