Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ajay Shivajirao Bhosale & Others Vs MoEF & Others dated 19/07/2022.

Gogate Minerals was granted mining lease rights by the Maharashtra Government, November 6, 1971 for 20 years at village Tiroda, taluka Swantwadi, district Sindhudurg (then Ratnagiri) at survey nos. 22, 20, 27, 33, 38, 39, totaling  34.81 hectare. The lease was renewed, April 4, 2000 for further 10 years.

The National Green Tribunal, July 18, 2022 directed constitution of a committee comprising officials from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) to conduct on the spot inspection of Haji Ali Dargah premises in Worli, Mumbai in the presence of Haji Ali Dargah Trust. The Committee would also propose a future action plan to keep the place clean.

Joint Committee Report by MPCB in OA No.30/2022 (WZ) (Gaurav Ashok Dhote V/s Mining Officer, Nagpur & Ors.) The matter is about allegations against the District Authority, Nagpur for inviting tenders to carry out sand mining activities without replenishment plan, causing damage to Kanhan river ecology.

Order passed by the High Court of Judicature at Bombay in Writ Petition No. 3854 of 2021 (Anganwadi Karmachari Sanghatana & Others Vs Union of India & Others).

The Bombay High Court, July 5, 2022 in an 'ad-interim relief' directed that allotment of food grains to anganwadi Centres within Maharashtra should not be stopped "on the basis of the functioning and use of POSHAN Tracker Application."

Joint visit report as per the National Green Tribunal order, April 1, 2022 in the Original Application No. 28/2022 (Dattatray Phalake Vs MoEF&CC & Others) regarding stone mining by M/s Rajendra Singh Bamboo Infra Private Ltd. site bearing G. No. 81/1 and 80/2, Hiswal, Nandgaon taluka, Nashik district.

The miner has violated the terms and conditions mentioned in the mining lease granted order, January 12, 2022. Mining activity of stone started from January 13, 2022 without Environmental Clearance as well as consent to establish and operate for stone mining. 

Final report of the Joint Committee in the matter of Mangesh Mahadev Parab Vs M/s New Monarch Builders and Contractors & Others (Original Application No. 56/2019 - Western Zone Bench).

The report was in compliance to the NGT order, November 15, 2021. The matter related to New Monarch Builders carrying out the construction of Sagbaug Snehsagar SRA CHS of CTS No. 706,706 (1 to 22) of village Marol, Andheri (East), Mumbai without obtaining environmental clearance.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Dr. Kiran Ramdas Kamble & Others Vs State of Maharashtra dated 18/05/2022.

Question for consideration is the remedial action for failure of the Municipal Council Trimbak and other concerned authorities of the state of Maharashtra in preventing discharge of municipal waste into river joining Godavari, in violation of judgement of the Supreme Court in Paryavaran Suraksha v. UOI, (2017) 5 SCC 326.

Order of the Supreme Court in the matter of Dileep B. Nevatia Vs Union of India & Others dated 15/03/2022.

The matter related to pollution issues after the implementation of Worli Sea Face Project. The court was informed that the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has installed pollution monitors in the area in question.
