Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Singh Jindalpuria, S/o Surjeet Singh Village Jindalpur, District Fatehgarh Vs State of Punjab dated 10/11/2021.

Grievance in the application is against illegal mining at village Bhallmajra, near Chanarthal, a border village of district Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab in connivance with the authorities of the district and the state. It is stated that heavy tipper, trucks, JCB machines and cranes are used in the course of mining.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikram Ahuja Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 29/10/2021. The issue for consideration is the remedial action for violation of environmental norms by discharge of untreated sewage and effluents into the drains and other water bodies in Fazillka District in Punjab. In the course of consideration of the issue, scope of the matter has extended to other adjoining Districts facing such problem.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Council of Engineers & Others Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 19/07/2021 regarding restitution of designated green belt in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, Ludhiana and stopping of its unlawful conversion into residential plots and by planting saplings of indigenous trees equal to twenty time the trees felled by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT). The application said that 54 trees have been illegally felled.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Yuva Mandal Sansthan Mithdiya Vs State of Punjab & Other dated 14/07/2021.

The applicant (Yuva Mandal Sansthan Mithdiya) requested that directions be issued to Punjab and Rajasthan to curb the inflow of industrial waste and sewage water into the Sutluj and Beas river and Rajasthan Feeder Canal and take appropriate steps to check, manage and control the noxious and hazardous effluents being thrown into water resources.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Lakhwinder Singh Vs State of Punjab dated 02/07/2021.

The issue for consideration is action to be taken for violation of environmental norms by M/s K.R.B.L. Ltd., Bhasaur, tehsil Dhuri, district Sangrur, Punjab, manufacturing rice, rice bran oil, furfural and other related products.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Harminder Singh & Others Vs Union of India & Others dated 02/07/2021.

The matter is related to Omaxe Ltd and Omaxe Chandigarh Extension Developers Pvt. Ltd. setting up a residential complex project called ‘The Lake’ obstructing the natural flow of river Siswan by filling up and closing a part of it in village Bharoujian and diverting it to another place nearby in village Kansala, sub tehsil Majri, district SAS Nagar, Mohali.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of H. C. Arora Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 30/06/2021 regarding illegal cutting of 176 fully grown trees in village Roshanpur, block Bhunar Heri, district Patiala, Punjab. The applicant had made a series of representations to the concerned departments, without any result.

Order of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh in the matter of Adani Wilmar Limited Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 18/06/2021.

An application was filed by Adani Wilmar in the court for the issuance of a writ in the nature of a mandamus for a direction to the state authorities to ensure that free movement of food grains etc is not hindered from and to its facility at Ferozepur, Punjab due to farmers agitation.
