The matter is related to biological pollution by the Susri insect. This pollution is being caused due to decaying grains, due to negligence in storage arrangements of grains by Food Corporation of India in its godowns at Sirhind Road, Patiala. The biological pollution is affecting nearby residents.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Singh Jindalpuria, S/o Surjeet Singh Village Jindalpur, District Fatehgarh Vs State of Punjab dated 10/11/2021.

Grievance in the application is against illegal mining at village Bhallmajra, near Chanarthal, a border village of district Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab in connivance with the authorities of the district and the state. It is stated that heavy tipper, trucks, JCB machines and cranes are used in the course of mining.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Vikram Ahuja Vs State of Punjab & Others dated 29/10/2021. The issue for consideration is the remedial action for violation of environmental norms by discharge of untreated sewage and effluents into the drains and other water bodies in Fazillka District in Punjab. In the course of consideration of the issue, scope of the matter has extended to other adjoining Districts facing such problem.
