Tribal and nomadic communities in Rajasthan were asked here on Thursday to take part actively in the upcoming first-of-its-kind Socio-Economic and Caste Census aimed at identifying the Below Poverty Line families in both urban and rural areas that can benefit from the Union Government's welfare schemes.

The Expert Appraisal Committee of the Union Ministry of Forests and Environment has agreed in principle to give environmental clearance to two coal blocks allotted to Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam in Chhattisgarh.
