Any construction on the flood plain zone of the river which is tributary of river Ganga is prohibited, the complainant, Adesh Kumar Yadav pointed out in his application before the NGT.

The NGT, December 6, 2022 directed a committee to be constituted to look into the matter of lack of green belt and sewage treatment plant in Sidhharth Vihar Yojna, a scheme of Awas Vikas Parishad, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The committee has to submit a report within one month, the court said.
