Kadapa Sept. 25: Efforts to establish a special economic zone (SEZ) in Kadapa district failed. A total of 5,000 acres acquired from poor farmers for establishment of an SEZ is lying vacant. The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Raja-sekhar Reddy, had allocated land to Infosys and Raheja companies in September 2007 for establishment of a mini IT SEZ in Kadapa city.

Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) has severed its ties with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) by mutual consent with immediate effect.
