The NGT directed the Committee comprising of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Roorkee to asess the environmental damage with regard to the ash dyke breach sites at Vidhyanchal thermal power plant (TPP) and Essar TPP in Singrauli area in the year 2019.

The matter related to illegal operation of a brick kilns in village Khamarchak, district Purba Medinipur, West Bengal in violation of the directions of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) dated June 27, 2017. All brick kilns were directed to convert to induced draft brick kiln (zig-zag brick setting). It was stated that the brick kiln had given a false impression that it had closed down, when actually it was not.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Marvada Amrutlal Becharlal Vs State of Gujarat dated 01/09/2020. The issue for consideration is the remedial action for contamination of ground water and soil on account of storage of gypsum by M/s Ashapura Group of Companies, village Ler, taluka Bhuj, district Kutch, Gujarat.

Reply filed by M/s Shakti Bioscience Ltd. on the massive fire at its chemical factory in Gujarat's Valsad. The factory in its report said that the company had all the permissions and certificates to run the plant. The occurrence of fire at the plant was due to short-circuit and there were no negligence or lapses on the part of company in maintaining standards of procedure in the functioning of the plant.
