NGT in the Order said that since in the case of new brick kilns a mandatory condition for establishing multi-layered green belt is imposed, it would also be applicable to the brick kilns existed prior to or after the year 2000.

According to the Applicant, water is extracted from the borewells for the purposes of trade without having any NOC or valid permission Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

NGT restrains M/s Vikas Developers from hill cutting in the project area of Survey No.44+45/2 of Khandala, Taluka Maval, District Pune and also pay Rs. 40 Lakhs for restitution of the devastated area to Lonavala Municipal Council within a month.

Judgement of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Udaya Suvarna & Others Vs Deputy Commissioner/ Chairman District Sand Monitoring Committee, Manipal, Udupi dated 27/02/2017 regarding extraction of sand from the rivers of Udupi District, Karnataka.

NGT directs that sand cannot be permitted to be extracted from the rivers of Udupi District.
