The matter related to the proposed construction of a commercial complex project of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation at Bhikaji Cama Place.

Based on the site visit and perusal of the information submitted by the DMRC, the committee noted that no construction work for the proposed commercial complex was found and only barricading had been made to secure the land.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Residents of Delhi Through Shobha Agarwal Vs Delhi Metro Rail Corporation & Others dated 17/03/2021.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Kush Kalra Vs. DMRC & Ors. dated 27/02/2017 regarding extraction of groundwater by DMRC. NGT directs DMRC to furnish the detail of the borewells dug, date of digging, quantity of water extracted from the underground and whether each of the borewell is fitted with the meter or not. This information shall be furnished within two weeks and failing which the DMRC will have to Rs. 2 lakhs.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Vikrant Kumar Tongad Vs. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd & Others dated 11/05/2015 regarding installation of rainwater harvesting systems in public buildings of Delhi.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Vikrant Kumar Tongad Vs. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd dated 27/04/2015 regarding installation of rain water harvesting system in public buildings of Delhi. In this regard the counsel appearing for the DPCC has filed the report of the joint inspection of all the Hospitals particulary in relation to the rain water harvesting system installation and functioning.

 

Affidavit filed on behalf of Govt of NCT of Delhi and Delhi Pollution Control Committee regarding the installation of rainwater harvesting systems in hospitals and Resident Welfare Associations in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, 09/09/2014.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Vikas V/s DMRC & Ors. dated 06/05/2014 to stop DMRC from cutting trees on the National Highway No. 10, Rohtak Road and not to build the pillars on the Mundka-Tikri Border line, on the central verge but on the footpaths and service lane and consider the alternative alignment suggested by the applicant in the interest of preserving the green cover of the area.

Order of the National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench, New Delhi) in the matter of Vikas Vs. DMRC & Ors. dated 05/03/2014 on the issue of cutting trees for the work of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The Affidavit shows that permission was granted to the Project Proponent (DMRC) to fell 491 trees and transplant 7 trees on condition to plant 4980 trees as against the trees to be cut and the DMRC has already deposited Rs. 1,61,05,320/- with the Department of Forest in compliance of the permission granted. The Tribunal has noted that the Forest Department has already planted 1700 saplings.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Resident Welfare Association Vs. DMRC & Ors. dated 03/02/2014 regarding the concrete mixing plant established for construction of Mass Rapid Transport System
(MRTS)-General Public utility by DMRC in Janakpuri. NGT has ordered the unit to be shifted to from the site in question within a period of eight weeks.
