NEW DELHI: The Right to Food Campaign on Tuesday expressed its disappointment with the

INFANTS and children below two years and in particular infants below six months should be included as a vulnerable group in the Food Security Act, according to a group of civil society organisations.

The Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) on Food Security, headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, is likely to meet on Friday to assess the prospects of the ongoing wheat procurement and deliberate the outlook for the forthcoming rice crop.

THE government on Tuesday said the Planning Commission will give revised estimates of families living below poverty line within a month for effective implementation of targeted PDS and other welfare schemes.
