Chandigarh: The ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) has accepted proposals by Haryana for transferring four solar photovoltaic power projects to the national solar mission.

Chandigarh: The Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) is relentlessly pursuing its target of achieving full load generation from the prestigious 1,200-mw Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Project, Khedar in Hisar.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda lit the boiler of the 600-mega watt Unit-2 of the 1,200-MW Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Project at Khedal on the Hisar-Chandigarh highway.

Rohtak: As many as 27 bio-gas plants set up in the district are functional already. A total 100 such plants are targeted to be established in the district during this year, the Deputy Commissioner said here today.

He said the project was part of a move to improve infrastructure related to non-degradable sources of energy, contain pollution and meet the growing demand for energy.
