PSEB Chairman assesses damage

To assess the damage caused to machinery during a minor fire in unit number 6, Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) Chairman HS Brar today visited the Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant today.
Farmers of the Sundernagar region have opposed the construction of the cement plant being set up at Chambi on the ground that it would render the fertile agriculture field into waste land, degrade the environment and leave local people landless.
Jamshedpur, March 3: Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board (JSPCB) has decided to make online stack monitoring system compulsory in medium and large scale industrial units.
The JSPCB authorities will issue a circular to this effect to all such units and especially to those which have smokestacks.
