NEW DELHI: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday warned Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to resolve the Babli row between Andhra Pradesh and Maharasthra by August 10 or face a major agitation by the TDP and its friendly parties. He blamed Dr. Singh of not having interest in settling the issue.

Water Resources Minister Filipe Neri Rodrigues on Monday informed the House that the Supreme Court has set a time of six weeks for the formation of the Water Dispute Tribunal to solve the water-diversion issue between Goa and Karnataka.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Centre to spell out whether there was any proposal to set up a tribunal to adjudicate the river water dispute between Goa and Karnataka on construction of a project across the Mandovi river.

As the controversy relating to the Babhali dam flared up with the visit of TDP leader Chandra Babu Naidu with his party MLAs to Maharashtra in a bid to go to the site of the barrage, the disputing states are now looking for next hearing of the case in the Supreme Court listed on August 10.
