Dehradun, September 25 Scotching speculation that the Tatas had made up their mind to manufacture the Nano from Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary, Indu Kumar Pande, said on Thursday that there was no such proposal from the Tatas so far.

The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Raja-sekhar Reddy, had allocated land to Infosys and Raheja companies in September 2007 for establishment of a mini IT SEZ in Kadapa city.

Amid reports of Tata Motors deciding to shift the mother plant of Nano, its small car, to Uttarakhand or Karnataka, Ratan Tata has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh that the company will hold talks with the state government.
