: For the third consecutive day, rescue operations were on in full swing on Sunday to search for the missing and dead even as the death toll in the flash floods that hit this mountain town in the small hours of Friday rose to 150. A few hundred people are still missing though many are reported to have returned home. The number of injured is 500.

There has been a increase in the number of cancer and hypertension cases in Leh district in the past decade due to a change in lifestyle ,according to Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, Tsering Dorjey.
