Jubilant Organic Limited, Nimbut-Nira, District Pune, Maharashtra in the course of its distillery unit’s activity. Present proceedings are for execution of judgment of the Tribunal dated 16.05.2014 holding that the unit had caused damage to the environment and was liable to take remedial measures and to pay compensation.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Sarang Yadwadkar & Others Vs Pune Municipal Corporation & Others dated 23/07/2019. Rampant dumping of construction materials on the flood plains of the rivers flowing though Pune and Pimpri Chinchawad cities, Maharashtra more particularly the Mula-Mutha river came up before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on July 23, 2019. The other allegation was of obstruction caused to the rivers causing diversion of its flow.

The project aims to create baseline data about the local biodiversity and conduct an ecological survey by consulting experts in the biodiversity field.

According to health authorities, the number of cases has come down from 2017, when 6,390 suspected cases of dengue were registered.
