Sahebganj, May 30: A Rs 800-crore master project to de-pollute the holy Ganga here is hanging in the balance, courtesy the political instability in the state.
Under the project, the Sahebganj district administration had earlier proposed a sewerage system, underground huge drains and electric crematoriums both at Sahebganj and Rajmahal townships located on the banks of Ganga.
Ranchi, May 12: Jharkhand High Court today pulled up the state government after a report submitted by the district and sessions judge of Deoghar confirmed that 19 students of Kishnidehi Government Primary School fell ill on Monday because of food poisoning. The students were allegedly served midday meal of khichdi that had a boiled lizard in it.
