This application seeks prohibition of work of concretization inside the blue line of Krishna river and other incidental directions. According to the applicant, Wai Municipal Council, is undertaking concretization work on the bank of river Krishna at Maha Ganapati ghat, Wai. Such activity is against the environment norms as no construction is allowed on the river bed inside the blue line, the prohibited zone of the river for construction.

This has led to illegal and unauthorized dumping and construction in the active flood plains of river Yamuna in the NCT of Delhi which was taking place over some 25 hectares upstream of DND Flyway. The flood plains which were excellent natural wetlands as recently as September 2015 have been cleared and levelled by the Art of Living International Center.
