As many as 78 dairy societies have been formed in Tikamgarh district under Bundelkhand Special Package.

The first phase of monsoon has brought smile on the faces of farmers in Madhya Pradesh. As of today, there is not even a single district which can be listed for scanty rainfall in the State.

Above average rainfall in the past week has created a flood like situation in northern regions of the State. The total rainfall is double the average for this time of the year and is creating havoc in the northern parts of the State.

With a view to empowering adolescent girls, a 'Sabal Yojna' is being implemented in 15 districts of the state. The State Cabinet has sanctioned the Yojna on February 7 at its meeting. Under the Yojna, living standard of the adolescent girls will be improved with paying attention on their health and ensuring nutrition meals.

Expansion of irrigation facilities in the six districts of Bundelkhand region is in full swing in Madhya Pradesh. For the purpose, the State Government has framed a special action plan worth `1,118 crore.

Under the plan, various projects have been initiated in the region.

The works will be completed in three years.

The process of allocating relief funds on the proposals by district is going on. In the series, Rs 30 lakh has been immediately allocated to Dewas district for providing relief to farmers, whose crops have been damaged due to frost and cold wave.

Bhopal, Jan 4: So far Rs 12 crore 68 lakh has been given as livelihood to 5 thousand 747 self-help groups in 14 backward districts of the state where the second phase of District Poverty Initiative Project (DPIP) is being implemented during the year 2010-11.

Pumps will be made available for irrigation to the beneficiaries of Kapildhara wells. For this objective, camps will be organised in the districts covered under Bundelkhand package.

The state government has allotted Rs 1 crore 15 lakh 39 thousand to 9 districts to pay the long pending relief to the victims of fire, hailstorm and snake bites. This amount has been allotted to the district collectors of Raisen, Betul, Hoshangabad, Ujjain, Badwani, Morena, Tikamgarh, Shahdol and Khargone.
