The report filed by the Rajasthan Pollution Control Board showed that even now untreated sewage is being discharged directly in the Kothari river causing pollution and degrading environment. Member Secretary, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board stated that industrial effluent was not being discharged directly in the river, reason being that all industries are following the ZLD process.

The garbage dumped there is emitting extremely foul smell which is causing lot of physical and health distress. The applicant and other residents complained to the Project Proponent but to no avail.

Grievance in the application is dumping of solid waste, plastic bags, polyester clothes waste and other non-biodegradable material in Sidhwan Canal and a report was called from a joint Committee in which it was found that there was throwing of waste material into the canal.
