Report of the Oversight Committee in compliance of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order June 17, 2020 passed in Original Application 475/2019 (Ajay Pandey & Others Vs Union of India & Others).

Submission on behalf of the DPCC with respect to the letter of Monitoring Committee of August 24, 2020. The Monitoring Committee for the river Yamuuna had raised issues on the pooling of resources and use of funds in particular the EC and Consent funds, so that it could be used in the utilization of action plans for abatement of pollution in river Yamuna. DPCC stated that EC received was Rs. 52 crores, out of which Rs. 12. 4 crores have already been spent and Rs. 39.6 crores was the balance available.

Response to report by Akash Vashistha to report dated August 25, 2020 submitted by the District Magistrate, Mathura. The matter related to construction of a metalled road taking place in the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan along with other permanent illegal constructions. The road was used to facilitate illegal reclamation of floodplains. The construction of this road was leading to dumping of malba and debris on the ghats (Cheer Ghat, Govind Ghat and Bhramar Ghat). This had caused irreparable damage to the Ghats and obstructing the natural flow of the river.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Shailesh Singh Vs State of Uttar Pradesh & Others dated 18/08/2020 regarding illegal operation of slaughter houses in Khurja in Bulandshahr District, Uttar Pradesh, discharging effluents into the groundwater, drains, rivers and extracting groundwater without any lawful authority. They are also alleged to be violating the siting norms. Further case of the applicant was that a State Level Committee was constituted in terms of orders of the Supreme Court dated August 23, in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 309 of 2003, Laxmi Narain Modi v.

The order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Nagar Palika Parishad, Vrindavan & Others Vs Madhumangal Shukla & Others dated 31/07/2020. The issue for consideration is the remedial action against unregulated dumping of solid waste in the flood plains of Yamuna and scientific clearing of the legacy waste site of Vrindavan, in accordance with the Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.

Report on behalf of Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad and Haryana State Pollution Control Board in compliance of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order of February 20, 2020 in the matter of Original Application No. 49/2020 (Tulinder Katoch & Others Vs State of Haryana & Others). The matter related to the garbage and sewage dumped on the banks of the Uttar Pradesh - Agra canal.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Manoj Mishra Vs Union of India & Others dated 06/05/2020 regarding rejuvenation of river Yamuna.

The Tribunal had constituted a Yamuna Monitoring Committee (YMC) to oversee the execution. However, in view of lock-down due to Covid-19, the stake holders including the Delhi Development Authority and the Chief Secretaries of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have not been able to give their respective response to the Committee. The Committee has, thus, sought further time to give its final report in above terms.

Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Akash Vashishtha Vs Union of India & Others dated 05/05/2020 regarding road being illegally constructed on the river bed of Yamuna in Vrindavan - Mathura between Shringarvat and Keshi Ghat and other illegal constructions, including multi-storied buildings, which had come up on the active floodplains and the riverbed of Yamuna in the town of Vrindavan.
