international climate policy, Germanwatch has developed the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI). The index compares the 57 states that together are responsible for more than 90 percent of annual worldwide carbon dioxide emissions. Their climate
change performance is evaluated according to uniform
criteria and the results are ranked.
